I hate that I haven’t posted much, but I’ve been so busy with school work. Also, we’ve been trying to pack because we are hoping to move in the next month or so. We don’t know where yet, we’re waiting on a job to pop up and say ‘hey come work for us.’ We are so hopeful that one happens soon.

I also haven’t watched any actual television for the past 2-3 weeks, because we’ve been re-watching Fairy Tale and One Piece. We got the DVDs for Christmas, and so we’ve been popping in those DVDs and playing them through. It’s been fun.

Anyway, I wanted to do a quick favorites post because why not, they’re fun!

The Book of Life

No spoilers

I finally got around to watching a movie I was greatly anticipating, the Day of the Dead movie The Book of Life. While I did enjoy it, I found myself saying something I NEVER say about animated movies; this was a movie for a younger audience. Never in my life have I said that about an animated movie that wasn’t targeted at children under 5.

I’ll still buy the movie when it comes out, but I thought it would be better than it was. For sure when I have kids I’ll have them watch it. Now I’m looking forward to the Pixar Day of the Dead movie.  Continue reading

Halloween Treat

Man it’s been a while since I’ve done a cooking post. I have been putting this off because I’m lazy I guess. I don’t pretend not to be…

Anyway, I enjoy cooking, but I especially love baking, so every holiday I usually bake something to bring into work. This time, for Halloween I made some candy corn sugar cookies. Unfortunately, I grabbed the wrong measuring spoon and put too much of some things and the cookies didn’t come out as great as they could have, so i’m not gonna say the recipes I looked at aren’t that great till I make it again. My oatmeal raisin cookies were a bigger hit than the sugar cookies, but that also might have been because I work at city hall and everyone there is older than me.
